Why Outbound Sailing

Our focus is teaching others who want to bareboat charter, sail, or cruise aboard their own sailing monohull or catamaran up to 50’ in length anywhere in the world.
We have adopted and extended the curriculum and standards set by American Sailing to teach our students ASA 101, 103, 104, 105, 106, and 114 classes using our OS Sailing Pathways curriculum.
We are all ASA Sailing certified instructors who help our students build the experience and confidence to go sailing, cruising, or bareboat charter safely on their own.
Our goal is to help students become competent and confident Mariners.

Everyone at Outbound Sailing is very disciplined at

Being Relentlessly Optimistic
We all have a positive outlook and see everything as an opportunity.
Empowering Others
We lead by lifting others - our job is to support, guide, and help everyone around us succeed.
Having a Growth Mindset
We continuously seek to learn and evolve, embracing every experience as a lesson.
Every company has the potential to be great. But in order to accomplish great things we need great people.
We don’t just offer sailing lessons. We offer our students and alumni pathways to building the experience and confidence necessary to safely bareboat charter, sail, or cruise on their own. We help students who have never been around boats before all the way to teaching the advanced seamanship necessary to safely complete ocean passages and blue water cruising.
If you are patient, adaptable, and creative, and want to join us in our mission, reach out to us today.
